INCHING TOWARD THE FINISH: MY UNPRECEDENTED GUITAR ARRANGEMENT OF LISZT'S PIANO SONATA IN ITS FINAL STAGES.

Last year, I began working on adapting Franz Liszt's iconic Piano Sonata in B minor for guitar. Sitting in my study room, month after month, I kept looking at Liszt's score, sorting through the complications, grappling with the interpretive questions of musical meaning and gradually finding a way. Last week, I could finally play it through until the end. There is still much more work left to be done. But the finish line is now in sight!
